Updated Sea Temperatures for St Kitts Jan 2009 to Dec 2009 (actually recorded by me while diving in St Kitts.) Temps are "bottom" rather than "surface" temperatures.

What protection do I need?
If you come from the colder climes (as I did) you will probably find that a 2.5 or 3mm Shorty provides adequate warmth while diving in St Kitts or Nevis.
If however you normally dive in warmer water, or tend to feel the cold, then a 3mm full suit may be better during the winter months. (When I first came to St Kitts I was warm in a Lycra 1mm Skin, now after 2 years it is a 3mm full suit during the winter months!)
Also bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker for the surface interval. It can sometimes feel quite cool if we have a good sea breeze blowing.

We have no need for a sunshine chart, the sun shines for about 10 hours a day, almost every day, all the year round
